Comment Opposing NPRM – Review of State Bar Complaints and Allegations Against Department of Justice Attorneys
On April 6, 2026, Q Law NJ, Inc. joined several other bar associations across the country in opposing a Notice of Proposed Rule Making by the United States Department of Justice ("DOJ"). The proposed rule would give the DOJ primary authority to review misconduct allegations against its attorneys before state bar regulators can act. (“Q Law”), New Jersey’s independent LGBTQ+ affinity bar association. We take these steps with the firm belief that now more than ever we need an independent voice for LGBTQ+ legal professionals in New Jersey.
